Richard has over 20 years' experience in healthcare commissioning, transformation, and NHS system leadership, having worked across all tiers of NHS delivery and held senior posts in both CCG, Provider and prior to Ufonia, NHS England in the outpatient recovery programme where he was at the forefront of outpatient reform and integrated care models.

He was also CEO at LOCSU, the national support organisation for optometrists where he led the development of extended optical services and the formation of the national / regional primary eye care company model. He brings a detailed knowledge of the optical sector and varying contracting models.

Having been involved on music and sport, he still plays drums in a local band, can be found coaching rugby and is involved in ever more elaborate running events.
